If you transfer from a four-year college to an NCAA school, you must complete one academic year in residence at the new school before you can play for or receive travel expenses from the new school, unless you qualify for a transfer exception or waiver.

Gotcha. His leaving now gives him an extra half a season next year.

I didn't realize the sitting didn't officially start until he got to the new school ...... to me, he's sitting right now.

If they went by my rules, yeah but by NCAA rules 2nd semester next year in time for conference play ...

This kid could be the missing link to get us over the hump next year.  Looking at his tape,he can shoot the ball.  If Brown is off at the 3 position this kid can come in.   

I really like X at the point even more the Q.

Collins at 2 with Dawson, Chaplin (Like what I saw this week), Murphy.

Brown and him at the 3

Yeatna, Williams and Mack (I see potential, just needs to lose some more baby fat and get quicker) at the 4

Durr at center (I expect him to be a beast by the end of this year) with not much depth, but when we go small we can have Yeatna at 6'8, Mack at 6"8, This kid at 6"8  all up front with Brown at the 2 at 6"6 and let Collins run the point at a strong 6"4. Hell maybe the new kid with the 7'7 wingspan can give some back up support.

Barring Luke applying for and winning an appeal for eligibility to begin first semester next year (not too far fetched), I believe he could begin playing as soon as the first semester is over next year (ie. Dec. 15 or so).

I agree. This is likely the worst case scenario. Since he is basically returning home to go to school and didn't play in any of Iowa State's regular season games he probably has a good chance of getting a waiver to begin playing with the Bulls first game of the 2020-2021 season.

any chance he gets a waiver to play at the begining of the year
