Based on how the season ended I don’t think Kelly will keep CCS around. Sure the $2.5 million payout over the next 2 season will be a bitter pill to swallow but Kelly currently has nothing to sell the fan base. Keep in mind USF only paid CCS $7 million the last 3 seasons so I don’t think they are completely screwed money-wise,.

Kelly was hoping CCS would have given him something to work with, a win against Cincinnati would have probably been enough , but the Memphis and UCF games really put a nail in the CCS coffin. CCS doesn’t make it any easier with his press conferences. 

With the present financial situation, they are going to look for a cheap band aid fix.

I suspect he is going to try throw CCS under the bus and try and promote Bell. The fan base wanted CCS fired last season and they sacrificed Gilbert. I don’t know if Kelly knows any other tricks so I wouldn’t be surprised to see him kick the can down the road and try and do that again.
