USF is now ranked 104 in US News top Universities that came out today. We jumped 20 spots from last year, looks like UCF is going in the opposite direction.

If I had to pick one this would obviously be the better thing to excel at but why can’t we just have both like so many other institutions?

We've been on a huge upward trajectory since I started working at USF 20 years ago. I think we can draw the correct conclusions.

Yeah, that Princeton football should be in the College Playoffs this season.

Hahahahaha if we can get to top 10 in academics then forget all sports besides fencing, crew and the like but I think we have a better chance of getting into the SEC or BIG10 than that.

I think we reach the top 50 in academics before football.

That will be a more impressive tale than the one of trailers to BCS. To shed the commuter directional school stigma and become a top tier academic institution would be one of the greatest tales ever told.

I could never get accepted to USF. In my day (1966 high school grad) a 3.5 was a really good GPA. I think the average GPA was 4.1 last fall. Good for the Bulls, glad we are moving up.

With inflation you'd be at a 4.5.
