Still, a travesty If this man who brought USF football into relevance in a very short time is not worthy of being selected. Sorry Judy, love you but the HOF is for accomplishments.Isn't it? This alumnus thinks so.

He was terminated from his position.  He will not be considered.

Matt G and Nevins should be the only two athletes in this class that fit the criteria.

So, any coach terminated regardless of past accomplishments is ineligible?

He can be fired and meet the criteria but the issue is he cannot be hired back.

I have no skin in the game either way.  I think CJL did some good things and some not so good things during his tenure.  His legend seems to be bigger than his accomplishments.  That often happens over time.

IMO a terminated employee should not be considered for the school’s HOF.  Additionally, he too may have no interest. Nothing more than my opinion.

^ Yes, perhaps.  As much as the allegations and falsehoods grow and attach too.  JG put herself in a no win position.  This will not resolve until she is long gone and her hatchetman Gonzalez too.

This is a stain on USF, not Athletics.  Second only to the Winters fiasco.

If true that eliminates Stan along with CJL and I’m boycotting the shenanigans.

THIS IS NOT TRUE!!!!! You can be fired and still get in. This is the only issue that prevents CJL:

USF Conduct - consideration will be given to any disciplinary action incurred as well as the frequency and severity of any such action.

Talking about coaches, how is Lee Rose not in USF Hall of Fame?

Along with bringing the first post season appearances to Basketball, in my opinion did as much as anyone to lay the foundation for USF sports to be where we are now.

He was the original “most powerful” guy on campus.

The allegations were enough to get him fired.  I’m still disappointed Jim would put himself in a situation where others were called in to determine his fate.  Judy is the ultimate boss and has final say, but you should have issues with Jim for his poor decision making.

I have issues with both parties and the abuse of power.  JG could have handled it above board.  Woolard could have been a leader not a lap dog.  It was shameful leadership regardless of whether allegations had any merit.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
