What do you think?

(Note: should read annual rivalry).

We've waited a few years to find out the answer to this question.  We can wait 8 more days.

8 more days isn't going to decide whether this game should played annually.  The real tell will be if we play a few times and still draw a crowd.  The attendance at the first 2 games will be higher due to the novelty factor.  Can it draw fans every year is the question...

I agree, MikeB. Aside from the novelty, the overall enthusiasm and interest leading up to the game should play a part in the decision whether to extend the series.

A HUGE brawlat the beginning of the game would help!  ;D

It will only prosper if the schools are competitive.  UCF is heading in the right direction.

I'm in the "occasional series" camp.

well, there are 2 questions asked.  The first is should we play each year?  I would say not necessarily but it would depend on scheduling and getting our (and for UCF their) program better known around the country.  I guess that really means no.

The second question asked is should we develop a rivalry?  I don't see why not.  They make things more exciting for the fans.

Well if USF were to ever require a two for one, first we know that UCF would laugh at them.  Also, I would be in favor of UCF doing a yearly game with FAU then.  USF will be left out in the cold when it comes to in state rivalries.

I agree.  UCF wouldn't do a 2-1 with FSU anymore, why USF?

If USF backs away from this, especially if it draws 40-45K fans or more then I say screw them.  FAU is not that far and could generate interest from both programs.  Not as much as USF, but an in-state rivalry is great.  Every team should have one.

Well, USF doesn't think so I guess.
