Why can't you answer the question? Do we know if he was even interested? I'm not slamming you for suggesting it, I simple wanted to know. It has nothing to do with who we hired or how quickly we hired him. The job came open, did Scott express any interest? It's really not that difficult to answer. If you don't know, it's okay to say so.

Scott is getting $850k in base salary, plus bonuses. ACC Championship Game appearance: $10,000 Bowl Game with eight or more regular-season wins: $20,000 College Football Playoff non-semifinal appearance: $40,000 College Football Playoff semifinal appearance: $50,000 College Football Playoff national championship appearance: $60,000 College Football Playoff championship win: $25,000 So, if Clemson goes to the national championship game and loses to Alabama, he'll get $990k this year. I doubt he'd have "jumped" at the chance to make $1 million at USF. Edited November 6, 2018 by JTrue

Well, we certainly could safely offer him the same incentives. Hell, we could even double the amount of money for them! Personally, I'd have doubled all of them across the board just to make sure we closed the deal.
