I just want to see good football being played first then worry about conference championship.

Our best year for it to happen was last year and it didn't happen.

Yes.  That window closed when Flowers and company left

So when in our history did we play consistently good football?  xCWT last season?  xCJL years?

Nearly everyone on this board wanted xCWT fired after his second season and now he's a legend by many on here.

Thats my point we never did really play good football on both sides. We played well at times with xCJL vs big name teams but he wasn't great in conference play.  xCWT built a very good offense but the defense was bad.

So lets walk first before we run.

And Coach skip Strong has built bad offense, bad defense, and bad special teams... there's your consistency.

What Strong has done was take his OC from a job he was fired from and brought to Florida to run a system that is based on power that will not work here...heck it doesn't even work well at UF with much better athletes how can it work here.

Jean at DC did seem to work well last year but we lost three or so key guys and now we have injuries and depth issues.  I would give Jean a pass this year maybe but for sure Gilbert has gotta go.

Why give Jean a pass?  This is a bad defense of epic proportions

We're 8 games into the season with ZERO noticeable improvement on defense and ABSOLUTE ZERO intensity from those playing.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
