Greg Billings was in Stranger mid 80's to mid 90's.  They were poised to be the South's answer to Van Halen.

Now that brings back some memories.  Yeah. Back in the day!  We still refer to the Greg Billings band as “the Stranger Band”

Used to play the 49th Street Mining Company and Clancy's. Outstanding!

Billings still plays.  Saw him at Cuso's on the beach not to long ago.

I never understood how they never hit it big time. Great band and stage presence.

Jackie's so Bad  did get some pretty big national airplay.

and saw him open up a few months ago for for John Waite (Babies fame) and the Capitol Theater in downtown Clearwater.  I Never laughed so hard as all these 50 and 60 year old bleach blonds dressed like they did in the 80's were there to see him. Must admit some of them looked pretty good

If you ever get a chance to see a show there I highly recommend it.

John Waite...the guy who reinvented himself about a dozen times. Remarkable carrier.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
