For UCF it's:   U Can't Finish

which it's true. My sister had to drive to Melbourne twice a week a couple of years ago when she was finishing up. If you thought getting the classes you need at USF was hard, it's even harder at Central.

Getting back to the original post on this thread... it's an interesting theory, but I object to the idea that we've had two entire recruiting classes of "dead weight".

The 2001 and 2002 USF teams were recruited as freshmen when USF was getting beaten by the likes of Drake and Hofstra, so there's no reason that a couple seasons of "mid-major" I-A recruiting should unduly hinder USF as it enters the Big East.

Besides, I-A transfers usually end up falling short of expectations. The history of college football is littered with guys who had great high school pedigrees, transfered down to smaller schools, and did nothing of note.

Overdependence on transfers is foolish.

I agree with GarySJ, it would crazy to stop recruiting mid-major talent. Thats whats this program was build with, transfers are great, if they all turn out like kawika. Remember there just so many so-call blue chippers that pan out. Just stick with what was working before, and the Bulls will be alright. ;) ;)

Our starting QB this year is a four star transfer from Auburn, Amp Hill coming from LSU is a four star reciever, the guy from Oregon is a four star CB.

I don't really think we should get too upset about getting them?

I say lets add a few four star OL's & DL's to this list.

"For me, I never considered it that way (as a stepping stone), honestly. When I was offered the head job at South Florida, and I'm sincere about this, I never thought I would ever go anywhere."

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
