Must hold true for football as well.  Top 25 product, a Heisman caliber QB and dirt cheap tickets.  Yet no one showed up.  Any more excuses?  Oh yea, the stadium is awful.

Yeah but that was not with an OCS. I’m sorry but RJS is just a morgue. Terrible stadium set up for day games. It has become a dinosaur.

Does the deal come with a blindfold and a pack of smokes?

I like this thinking. I visit Tempe around March each year as my older bro lives out there. He is a SunDevil alumn. They don’t really care unless they are winning so I think USF might be the same issue. A lot to do around USF and ASU besides going to college hoops games.

They took down the walls in the top sections that hid 6 more rows of seats, adding about 3000 more.  Coming in handy tonight vs. UCLA.

Winning, entertaining.

If there was no Bucs, Rays, Lightning, Beaches or Busch Gardens. then we’d be the only game in a college town and we would probably draw good crowds even in down years just like every other college town in the country.  We have the same issues as a Miami. Check out their crowds in down years.

GO BULLS!

Could the OCP affect basketball attendance?

College town!!  I don’t know how you define “college town”, but neither Miami, nor Tampa mine.  I was born in a college town, Norman, OK.

He didn't say that Miami or Tampa were college towns as they are right now.  He's suggesting that if Tampa didn't have the things mentioned, it would be more like a traditional college town.

He didn’t???    Read it again.... “then we’d be the only game in a college town”

Not sure why you put quotes around it, no where in his post is that quote.

Does having those pro teams, and Busch Gardens keep people from driving up 75 to attend games in that college town called Gainesville?

Not sure how many make that trip 3 times a week for basketball games.  Football 7 times a year, sure.

Again, he said that if we didn't have pro teams, we'd be a college town.  Not that we are one now.
