Flores scores 19, No. 22 USF women defeat FIU 82-52

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Laia Flores scored a career-high 19 points on 7-of-9 shooting, Maria Jespersen had a double-double and No. 22 South Florida rolled to an 82-52 win over Florida International on Sunday.

Jespersen had 16 points and 10 rebounds and Laura Ferreira scored 16 for the Bulls (9-2), who went 15 of 15 from the foul line.

South Florida had no problem despite a subpar performance from Kitija Laska, who missed all seven of her 3-pointers and was 2 of 11 overall for four points. Laksa had made at least a trey in 25 straight games and at least two in her last 18 and was coming off a 40-point performance where she set an NCAA record by making 11-straight 3s. She leads the country with 4.90 treys a game.

Kiandre'a Pound scored 17 points with nine rebounds for the Panthers (2-8).

Due to FIU's on-campus graduation, the game was played at Rick Case Arena on the campus of Nova Southeastern in Fort Lauderdale.

0-for-7 one game after hitting 11-in-a-row?

High-larious!

They will be up at least one more spot in the AP Poll, as there is no way that Stanford remains ranked. It is a travesty that they were ranked at 6-4. While their 4 loses were to good teams, they pretty much got blown out in every single one. Then add their recent loss to Western Illinois, and their upcoming potential losses to Tennessee and UCLA and I don't even know if they will be able to make the NCAA tournament. they could easily be 6-7 with another 5 or 6 potential losses on their schedule. Shocking fall from grace.

11 for 18? Not a bad average, and then voted National Player of the Week. WBB is still a blast to watch.

GO BULLS!

Halftime: Dayton 38 - USF 32.

Laksa having a bad game again.

Rader is the one bright spot for us tonight.

We started the game down 8-0 and have been struggling to stay in the game.

Dayton is hitting a lot of 3's and we are not.

Hopefully, we can wake up and turn this game around.
