USF checked in at No. 23 in the Amway Coaches Poll and fell out of the AP Top 25 Poll. USF, which saw the best start in program history (7-0) and a nation-leading 12-game win streak come to an end with a 28-24 loss to Houston in the final seconds, remains one of three American Athletic Conference teams in the polls. USF is joined by No. 15/14 UCF (7-0) in the East Division and No. 22/21 Memphis (7-1) in the West. USF marks its and 40th week in program history appearing in the Top 25. The entire AP and Coaches polls can be seen here: http://www.espn.com/college-football/rankings. Quinton Flowers (Miami) passed for a season high 325 yards and accounted for two rushing touchdowns on Saturday. Flowers surpassed 10,000 total offense yards (10,003) on the day, becoming just the fourth Bull to reach that plateau and closing within 872 yards of the USF record of 10,875 posted by Matt Grothe (2006-09). His main target Saturday was senior Marquez Valdez-Scantling (St. Petersburg) who set career highs with 10 catches for 186 yards, the fourth-highest catch total and second-highest receiving yardage total in USF history. He leads USF on the year with 38 catches for 568 yards and four touchdowns. Averaging nearly five catches and 71 yards per game, Valdes-Scantling is on pace to challenge USF season records of 67 catches and 822 yards set by Rodney Adams. Senior Deadrin Senat (Immokalee) continued his strong play over the last four games. The defensive tackle, who began the season as an Outland Trophy and Nagurski Award candidate, set career highs while leading USF with 12 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks against Houston. The 2016 second-team all-conference pick has logged 31 tackles (7.75 per game) over the last four games to vault into a tie for second on the team with 38 tackles on the year, despite missing six quarters in the Bulls' first two games due to targeting calls. USF, which has won 17 of its last 21 conference games, will look to get back in the win column Saturday with a 3:30 p.m. kick off at UConn on ESPNU. USF leads the series 9-5 and has won the last five meetings, last falling to the Huskies in 2011.

Yes, but overall body of work on the road is still better than our play at home. Also, that’s why I said the trajectory is headed in the wrong direction. I get the feeling we’re in trouble

Press has been gunning for us all year and we've given them the ammunition game after game after game. We haven't beaten an FBS team with a winning record. Seems clear that doesn't get you top 25. They were the mascots not the athletes. Let the Coaches Poll be the one with the most clout. Nerds. Matt barker looks the part too.
