IMO, It's all about recruiting.

So, keeping UCF down every year is paramount.

UCF is our main competitor for Florida recruits.

The worse they do on the field, the better we can recruit.

Well, there's that too.

Correct, it may be relevant one day. But unless some crazy fallout happens to where the power 5 teams at the top of the polls fall out significantly during their non conference games,  a weak UCiF team or a strong UCiF team won't make a difference. We need to keep winning and that's all we need to be concerned with, because if we have the best group of 5 record we'll be the representative for a new year's bowl. We don't have the luxury of playing other power 5 teams week after week, which is why making the playoffs is an exltreme long shot.

Just a thought:  relative success of UCF makes Frost upwardly mobile.  More so, I believe, than CCS.  Coaching turnover can lead to turmoil with recruiting.

Sorry, no friggin way I am going to root for UCF. Any USF fan doing so is blasphemous. Circumstances are irrelevant.

I was so happy when Temple got the comeback victory against UCF last year. I'm much less happy about it now.

I get your point, but I always root for UCF to go 0-12 every year.

I know this is said in jest with a lot of teams but ucif has done it so many times, it wouldn't even be surprising lol

I heard a lot of their fans were looking forward to free donuts and beer. How many games do they have to lose before these great freebies kick in?

Except for ucf , right Jim?

No, actually... I want to see them go undefeated if possible... so we can crush their hopes in the last game of the year...

That won't happen, they aren't quite that talented... but if we want the AAC to have respect, we need the AAC to win as many OOC games as possible, especially against other G5 schools... Rooting against UCF, while a crap ton of fun, is not in the overall best interests of the conference... and therefore of USF.
