I don't understand how someone that almost made an NFL roster (NY Jets) just 2 seasons ago cannot make their way onto a CFL roster.

Has he been playing since?

Is he still in the same athletic condition he was a few years ago?

Sounds like it is time to hang it up....but only he knows.

The Jet's thing was more of a favor to Leavitt and staff.  He never made the roster, and once he was released by NYJ permanently he didn't sniff another NFL locker- barily.  Chalk it up as a great college QB, but doesn't come close to having the goods for the NFL.

But he did fine against 1-A talent as well.  It's just the margin of error for the NFL is between slim and none.  At 5-11, without a rocket arm the deck was stacked way against him.
