  1. I'll sit here and tell you 10 reasons why the Times is better than the Trib any day right down to the paper used to print the words, but Martin's words were flat out dead on - funny, actually pathetically funny.
  2. Never really liked him when I had to interview him, rubbed me wrong.
  3. He gives the best traffic updates, now that the Instant Traffic Report has gone defunct ...
  4. Thanks to Scott Phillips of the much-heralded wearedepaul.com, the USF Bulls are now "Golden" with or without CRM http://story.scout.com/a.z?s=359&p=2&c=623572&refid=400 http://depaul.scout.com/2/623572.html
  5. Is the definition of good, 14th place and a trip to the Big East tourney? Nobody in the league has a losing record right now ...
  6. First choice is the Sun Dome box office this weekend. Then the tickets move to the team hotel, the B'Ham Sheraton, then they bring them to Legion Field day of game ...
  7. It's never too late. Just confirmed two more spots: 372 Southwest Airlines should love Bulls fans
  8. I'm wondering how to get there, since all SW flights are sold out and everybody else wants $600 to fly through some other city and whatever, I'll get there plus 1.
  9. My favorite is any kicker who can split the uprights or punt the ball more than 40 yards.
  10. CJL talked about it, why aren't we? Think about it: We beat UL and WVa, making us 5-2 in conference and at worst tying with UL and Wva. Rutgers loses two of its final three (at Cincy, vs 'Cuse and at West Va.) Rutgers finishes 5-2 and co-champions are declared. The BCS nod, however, would basically go to the team with the highest BCS ranking (unless there's just two teams tied, then it's the head to head winner). Off to bed now, to dream some more ...
  11. Just got back from Vegas. After standing in the sports book for 20 minutes staring at the board, I decided against placing money on USF, on the UL-Rutgers under and on NC State - all winners. Instead I put money on Pitt ...
  12. All he has to do is not quit. The coach's job is not in jeopardy - yet. Maybe in another year or two, but this is not the make or break year. ... I also think it's funny how some people yearn for Greenberg mediocrity now.
  13. Isn't there a rule against current student athletes being used in ads?
  14. I didn't think we could count the win against the I-AA team because we counted a I-AA win last season? Thought you could do that only every four years? So technically a win this Sunday would "NOT" make us bowl eligible??? Any help on this?
  15. Gator Haters unite. I agree, I root for a Florida loss ALWAYS. Too many "adopted" Gator fans in the Bay area. If you went there, fine. If your relative went there, maybe. If you've got no direct ties to UF and you want to root for a college football team and you live here, root for USF. (And not as your No. 2 team either).
  16. Sometime in the Grothe era is the correct answer. (Maybe he even beats the hated Gators before graduating).
  17. Air Force. Dad's a grad and I love the way Fisher DeBerry throws that wishbone out every year and every year he knocks off teams and has the nads to go for two against Tennessee. Watch them beat Notre Dame.
  18. The boos were not T.O. boos, not that loud and not that long lasting. I knew PJ would hurry up and lead us to nowhere and I knew that Grothe would hurry up and return (that's why you bring a radio to the game), so I had no need to boo, even though PJ is horrific.
  19. Doesn't it feel really good to beat that other school, with a quarter century head start in football, that is content to take sloppy seconds in C-USA, that now can only hope for a tie in this 4-game series? I think it's beautiful.
