The player who is seeded #1 here, Austin Eckroat, came in 2nd to Niemann at the Junior Invitational. He had won it the prior year. He will be tough to beat.

I would have loved to have seen Niemann in the field. He should be kicking himself for electing to play instead at the Barbasol qualifier.

McNealy didn't do well in his first round of The Open, +8 (T148, currently) after the first round. That's good for Niemann.

Yes.

He won't make the cut and, if he ends up where he is now, he likely won't get enough WAGR points to take over the #1 spot.
