I hope our upcoming AAC contract is more reflective of the Pow6r, rather than the G5. I can't see ESPN overextending itself again and overpaying for content in the next round of media rights deals. I hope Aresco has something more up his sleeve.

Somebody else needs to emerge wanting to pay for College Football content. ESPN has no incentive to pay us more if nobody else wants to pay us at all. We need to create leverage for our product, or don't expect a raise anytime soon.

I don't think it's that far fetched that ESPN starts to "De-emphasize" College Football as a whole, and tries to pay all parties less, or just what they are paying now.  The money train has ended at ESPN, and we could feel that pinch very soon.

I'm not worried about the pinch from TV because we really aren't getting anything. The pinch happened when we signed the current contract.

Yeah the next round of contract talks will be very interesting; I bet ESPN has lawyers trying to find loopholes in some of those outrageous contracts currently.

I hope there's not a "match" clause in this contract.

I would think that alone cost the conference a few million dollars.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
