Other than Houston what teams deserve merit from our conference? Our AD blew it, plain and simple. We needed at least one decent P5 school on our schedule and it was not done.

Originally, there was a decent P5 team on our schedule for this year. That changed when some other future games got reshuffled. I posted a USF release about that in another thread some months ago.

I don't know what efforts USF made to schedule a comparable team in its place.

USF was originally scheduled to play Wisconsin at home in 2017.

See article:

"The first UMass game replaces the Wisconsin home game on the 2017 slate."

I'm tired of explaining the P5 was made to make certain media groups and conferences a ton of cash. It's that simple. Even with that cash advantage, many of them would get **** stomped by most teams in our conference

A handful of them would get beat by a handful of teams in our conference ...  a few maybe **** stomped by some in our conference. We're the best of the G5 conferences but let's not blow that out of proportion.

Until we win the conference a few times, I find it hard to blame our AD for supposedly blowing our infinitesimal chance at making the playoffs ...

I'm not gong to argue this again. Last time I tried, I got a ton of flack. If you want to succumb to the media mind-numbing, go ahead. We aren't the top conference no but, we can beat any of them once or twice any day of the week. Every conference has weak teams. None of them have a 100% superstar lineup. The greatest disparity between this conference and the P5 is age. Our teams for the most part are younger and thus with less established Fan Bases and Donor Support. That's about it.

You probably got a ton of flack because saying that MOST AAC teams would **** stomp MANY P5 teams is pretty much indefensible ...

Yeah our conference sucks so bad that's why the POWER 5 pouch our coaches. To keep us from sucking so bad. Glad you could cleared that up for me.

Lets see, Louisville, Pittsburg, Syracuse, and WVU all recently our conference mates and If I recall the media said we sucked with them in our conference as well yet, their all P5 now. Hmm.... I do believe that USF, UCF, Temple, Navy, Houston (Maybe not this year), Tulsa, UC and SMU could beat a lot of the self branded P5 this year. Time will tell if they are good or not.

Let's go 13-0 first, and THEN we can be angry about not getting in the playoff.
