Jim Leavitt joins Tags at Oregon

That Harbaugh, Taggart, Leavitt mix is very surreal.

Note some strange intraconnections:

98' & 99': QB Taggart beats USF coached by Leavitt, WKU was coached by Dad, Jack Harbaugh.

00' & 01': Leavitt beats WKU, Taggart in 1st two years of Coaching as WR and QB coach under Harbaugh

07': Leavitt loses to Oregon in Sun Bowl

10': Taggart loses to USF and Skip Holtz as Head Coach of WKU

11': Leavitt Joins Jim Harbaugh to Coach 49ers LBs

15': Just to show how much WKU seems to be mixed in this, Taggart now coaching USF loses to WKU. Oddly, Taggart was involved in 6 of the 7 games USF has played against WKU. He is 2-0 as a player and 0-4 as a coach.

16': Taggart takes Oregon job and hires Leavitt. 

 

Somehow we we have to get Jim Harbaugh and WKU involved in this and the circle will be complete.

I hope nothing but success for Leavitt.

And Oregon's defense just got one of if not the best defensive coordinator in the nation.

Great move on both sides.

We won't be competing with them often.  They won't be coming all the way to FL to recruit high 3 star and low 4 star kids.  They'll be flying out this way for elite prospects.  If they're successful at Oregon it will depend on how they recruit Washington, California, Utah, and Arizona.

Is this really happening?  This is surreal.  OR has been in my top five of teams I hated before this bc of the Sun Bowl USF "whoopin". With them taking Tags it was reinforced. Now with Leavitt I will be rooting for them so CJL gets a P5 HC gig. Tags can literally ignore his D an concentrate on the O and special teams. I am curious if either would come back to FL to coach UF FSU or UM.
