I can see Stong retaining the following people.

  • Darren Hiller
  • Shaun King
  • TJ Weist
  • David Reaves

This is the other side of coaching changes where people's lives and families are impacted.

What about the high school coach that drew up all the plays for Taggart that is listed as offensive consultant.   Lol

Coaches need to tell Mack that we'll call his number more!

Yep looks like Sterlin Gilbert will be one of them.  Hope he doesn't F up our Gulf Coast Offense.  Would like to see TJ Weist stay in some capacity.

What are you seeing online that Sterlin is coming to Tampa?

Tweet from Chris Low.  Says he wants to bring most of his staff with him, especially Gilbert

Will be interesting to see the details on assistants' pay.  And how his Texas salary fit in with what he had to have this year and what could be moved to the pool.   I'm sure some of you have an idea about how that might work.  Look forward to some breakdown.

Gilbert worked under Philip Montgomery and Dino Babers prior to Texas, both of whom are Art Briles guys. He is 100% going to keep the offense open if he comes here.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
