Good point. If CWT has the bad start like he did at USF at Oregon, I think Phil Knight would have him fired. And if he thought the boosters at USF were bad during the Ybor City fiasco, Oregon booster Phil Knight has too much control.

I think Oregon would hire Taggart realizing the risks with him....I doubt they would fire him that quick. His resume says he takes 2 years to turn around his programs....he'd likely get that.

Still find it funny how 15 months ago, we all wanted the man gone, now we are all scared about losing him lol.

I would not be angry with a man for taking a pay raise in the 100% range.

I would have the same feeling in my gut with our admins picking a new head coach, as I did when Pat Julmiste dropped back to pass on 3rd and 13.

No faith at this point in their ability. They can prove me wrong and get two on a row, then I'll feel better but as of right now we are 1 for 2 on head coaches over the last 10 years.

Don't forget that CWT got embarrassed by McNeese St during his USF coaching debut. I'm sorry but that was just bad coaching on his part. The first two seasons were bad coaching. He learned a lot about coaching while at USF. It took a sit down with Harlan and a chance in his offensive philosophy to save his job.

He coached at Stanford.  Pretty sure he has recruiting contacts on West Coast.  Further, Oregon recruits the entire country

To be fair there were quite a few of us on here who wanted him to stick around. We weren't quite as loud about it as the firing crowd though.

My, my, my, Skinny...Would you just look how hateful your fellow USF Fans are towards the man who pulled your football program out of the ditch.  Apparently, many here believes he should be bound in chains and required to serve his master, USF for the rest of his life.  He is not allowed to advance his career, he must serve his master.

Nothing but love for someone looking to improve there life and their families
