Boise State lost. Now to get into a New Year bowl-

1. We need a Western Michigan and Temple loss

2. Win out season

3. Win conference

4. Win bowl game and finish season 11-2

Probably need Boise to lose again. Your other requirements have a lot of "ifs" for USF to be playing on NYD Bowl.

If the AAC does not have enough qualifiers, I can see the conference wanting to match us up with a more high profile team (Birmingham Bowl vs SEC) but who knows. UCF may get eligible for the St. Pete Bowl too.

No. They don't. Boise is out. You have to be a conf champ to even be considered and right now Wyoming would have to lose 2 more games for Boise to even be in MWC champ game due to tiebreaker. Wyoming only has 4 games left. And that's assuming Boise goes undefeated the rest of way. If they drop a game Wyoming would have to lose 3 games. All we need is a Temple and WMU loss. That's it.

My bad, I thought Wyoming had already lost a game in conference but I see that is not the case (and thus Boise would be in the same situation as us needing a team to lose one game). Man, we really need Temple to slip up somehow...

Temple is going to screw us out of cotton bowl.  They'll probably win out.

It's crazy how a potentially amazing season might be negated by one bad loss against Temple. We could've lost any other game besides Temple.....our last hope is to rely on Uconn to beat them.  This sucks.
