I'm not happy about the chance at st pete bowl but it's another game to watch USF that's close enough to attend. I'd go.

I'm happy we didn't have to burn a redshirt on Chris Oladukon.  For a minute there it looked like we might have to.

Probably woulda just thrown DJ in at QB for a bit. Couldn't have been much worse than Keane was

Curious, why do you guys think we are a lock for the St. Pete bowl? Even if we only get 8 wins aren't we still eligible for the others? Cincy had 6 wins and went to Hawaii last year, Memphis was 9-3 and went to Birmingham, etc.

Our hopes for the cotton bowl are dashed, but all is not lost!

I'll try and give a rational response...of course we are not a lock for St. Pete at all.  Temple could easily lose another game or two, and our chances to still win the division or even a conference championship aren't even remotely lost.  We're still tied for the lead in the AAC East; Temple just has the tiebreaker.  So an NY6 bowl is still a real possibility.  Just facts.

If we don't win the conference, St Pete is more likely because of the geography.  But another venue isn't outside the realm of possibility...there are a lot of factors in play.  Selection order, sponsors and partners, TV markets, and matchups with the other bowl eligible team all play a role.  I would agree St.Peteis the most likely destination, but it's far from a lock.
