Why did Towson and NIU outdraw conference games?

I don't care to get into a debate on why fans are apathetic in a general sense, but why on earth are actual attendance numbers down from the Towson and NIU games? Are fans butt hurt that we lost to FSU?

USF had some major incentives for students to attend those games... if they wanted good seats for FSU, they had to go to both Towson and NIU.

That the Generican is a crappy conference with no real reward for its champion is definitely a contributing factor to lukewarm attendance.
