Well, I meant that it fired her up.  A repeat of Courtney's performance would be just fine.

It sure did fire her up.  Just need the rest of the squad to catch the same fire.  No Mercy!

If the girls can't get fired up in a game that is a chance to get to a sweet 16 game on a court that bears the name of arguably the greatest coach in all of sports history, I am not really sure what would fire them up. Plus, it is not like they haven't been to this point yet in their careers. With the exception of Laksa, everyone that will potentially contribute was here last year.

My concern is they go the other way and shrink because of the game and the stage.

They need to go out, have fun and play the same in your face game they have done against UCONN for the last 2 years.

This is what they work their asses off their whole basketball careers. I want to see them relax, have fun, go back to slapping the floor on defense and everyone just play their role. There isn't the huge talent gap as there is against UCONN.

Just have fun and play basketball we can beat this team

Seemed to work???  We cant have a repeat of the last game.  Need the others combined to score more than CW.

Player          Minutes     Points

Ferreira           40            1

Jespersen       27            0

Jenkins           40            5

Stringfield       39            7

Laksa             13            3

Williams         35           31

Another interesting stat from the CSU game was free throws.  CSU went 1-2 from the line while USF went 9-14.  Hopefully we can keep our fouls and turnovers to a minimum.

Shooting is streaky, but you'd like to think all of them wouldn't go cold at the same time (aside from CW). It's going to be a tough away game, no doubt about it.

If only they were able to pretend this UCLA team was actually UCONN, we might end up winning by 20 points...but they'll play down to the level of UCLA when compared to UCONN and it'll be much closer or worse because of that.

I'd like to see Laksa and/or Ferreira to go ballistic from beyond the 3pt arc tonight. Let's go, Lady Bulls!

This is where the leadership needs to step up. The coaching staff, but probably more from the leaders. Courtney and Jenkins need to lead the rest of the team by their demeanor and their play.

Maybe it was because of her punishment, but that's the first time I have seen Williams look like she wasn't having fun on the court. The rest of the team played tight all game.

Just go out and have fun  they have the talent just don't choke by being too tightly wound

Not a lot of people there, Nothing compared to what we had last year when we hosted the first two rounds.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
