Yeah the hospital staff boned it, but such a douche move for ESPN deserves a deterrent like this. Good for JPP.

Not sure how much if this sticks to ESPN or Schefter for that matter, but civil trials with a jury can be unpredictable. We need Smaza to provide courtroom analysis. 21 hours ago, Dogma said: No, the ESPN "reporter" posted JPP's personal and legally private info in a highly public forum The hospital has already settled with JPP and 2 employees were terminated

We're a decade past needing a serious revisiting of the laws in place that protect modern day journalists; it's been a longtime since the media has been the watchdog of the government or pursuers of truth. Now, it's all $$$$$ forget about fact checking, editing, merit, or ethics. There's no way that a reporter from the 70s handles this reporting in the same way that ESPN handled it. It'll be a tough case to win if brought to trial, but, I have no problem with JPP taking a stab at it.

Very few journalists in the world. I rank them up there with attorneys, real estate agents and insurance agents as the bottom feeders of our society. Have to have mimes somewhere in there .... The sacks and tackles were down, yes, but that was in part with the club and not being able to grip. I'm also a huge Giants fan and thought he was done, but loved his tenacity to get himself in game shape and when he came on the field he made a difference; albeit they were the worst defense in the league. He will always have a motor and give it everything he's got, but his true effectiveness is gone. Can't pay that guy to be a "QB hurrier". Apparently he's having surgery to help with his grip so maybe that'll help, but I'd be shocked if he's 3/4 the player he once was ever again.
