TAMPA, JAN. 26, 2016 – USF’s men’s basketball team will try for consecutive wins when it plays at Tulane Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET

The Bulls (4-17, 1-7 American Athletic Conference) are coming off their first conference win of the season, 71-62, at Houston on Saturday. The Green Wave (8-13, 1-7) are coming off a 97-75 loss at Cincinnati on Sunday.

Freshman Jahmal McMurray is coming off the best game of his young career after scoring 30 points against the Cougars. He has been steady all season long with 16 consecutive games of scoring at least 10 points. After averaging 22.5 points per game last week, he was named the American Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week on Monday.

McMurray’s 14.6 points leads the team and ranks eighth in the conference in scoring. Jaleel Cousins lead the Bulls with 8.2 rebounds per game, the sixth-best in the conference.

Tulane leads the all-time series 18-12 and has won the last three meetings. The Green Wave beat the Bulls earlier this season in the Sun Dome, 71-62, despite a career-high 20 points by USF senior guard Nehemias Morillo.

This looks like our best chance for a winning streak this year. I hope we get the "W".

I'm in Baton Rouge on business and will be heading down to Devlin Fieldhouse to catch the game.  Hopefully, the win against Houston will help boost our confidence.

Man, tough days...

Really need them to build off that last game & take it to Tulane. Maybe we should just play 7 again?

Per Joey Knight, the Tulane starting big man Jernard Jarreau is out tonight.  Good news for us.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

"For me, I never considered it that way (as a stepping stone), honestly. When I was offered the head job at South Florida, and I'm sincere about this, I never thought I would ever go anywhere."
