I don't follow basketball that closely, bet every year it always feels like we're starting from scratch with a depleted roster

I hear what you're saying. We had a new coach come in last year and a lot of the team left because they didn't want to put in the work that Coach Antigua demanded at practices and on the court, so only like 3 or so stayed. The rest are all transfers, including cousins who came from Kentucky with Antigua, and his own recruits. It seems like he is bringing in loads of talent, almost getting a player who was signed by the trail blazers, but that was messed up due to academics. I think that we can be a tournament team either next year or the year after that for sure.

Cousins did not come from Kentucky. He was a JUCO from somewhere in Alabama.

Ruben got his bell rung big time tonight. Didn't see it, away from the ball but he looked punch drunk being taken from the court. Sat on the bench for a while, getting worked on and then left the bench area. Don't think he came back.

Not really sure if Peters is 100%. Played but didn't start and spent time on bike when he wasn't in.

Little to no depth and limited talent this season...OA is gonna need 4-5 years to get us in the top half of the AAC

Are you sure? I must have misread something then. My bad.

That would mean 4-5 years before the postseason (NCAA/NIT). That really shouldn't be acceptable ...

Needed better control of the ball, a lot of steals, Ref's were inconsistent, got sloppy in shooting at times.   With that being said they need to work on a few things but I did see improvement in foul shots. Need more 3 pointers as well. I will be there rooting them on!  Hopeful here for a better season than last year.

We will have to shoot way better than 16.7% from the 3 if we are going to win more games this year. On the other hand shooting above 50% overall is a good step in the right direction along with 75% of ft's. By the end of the season if we can shoot above 60% from the field with around 35% from 3 and 80% from the line we should be about a 15-16 win team
