6 wins do not guarantee a bowl game, as Temple learned last year.  If we beat SMU, UCF (1 win among them), and then scrape by one more team, we'd have 6 wins v teams with sub.500 records, and one FCS team.  THAT...is the type of resume that gets rejected on the fringe (oh, and add that we don't travel well, and 6 wins is a coin toss, if even).

The year we shot up to #2... how could anyone forget that?

2007, seems light a 1,000 years ago for USF.

So much stupidity in this thread.

The Big East routinely had three to even four teams in the top 25, and one or two in the top 10/12.

The Bulls play in the FBS, not the Football Championship Subdivision (old 1-AA).

Yeah... It really does.  It's time for these guys to give us some new stories.   Seriously... I really hope this team gets on a roll.  Just to pump some more excitement into it.

I have to say hanging out with USF fans during the win on Saturday was a great feeling. One I have not had in years. Would love to have that experience again against Navy.

The AAC has a new, additional bowl game this year against a Sunbelt team.  6 wins gets a bowl this year.

Yeah me too.  I've wanted a reason fly back now for three  years.  I did Willies first year, but that didn't go expected.  But I keep telling people who look at attendance... if we win games, attendance goes up.  I think we'll see an uptake against SMU... and then if we can pull off that next game, I think we'll start seeing good crowds again.  I'm like you... I love that game day experience... we have a great fan base.  Guys like YOU... guys like just about everyone here on the board.  I will be in Tampa for the Temple game.  It would be nice if we can do one of those USF upset things...

I'll be at the Navy game.  Looking forward to seeing Bulls in our 2 sections.  I think, relatively speaking, it'll be a good USF turnout, especially if we beat SMU.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
