Hopefully the team works on it this week. We gave Memphis way too much on the returns.  Thankfully, our defense did such an amazing job.  With an offense like ours, the field position battle is huge.

So we need more work on open field tackling.  This team is close to winning.

Absolutely terrible.

Only thing worse is the offensive play calling

Completely agree .... This should have been more of a topic of conversation after the game.

Also, have not listened to the game yet but was there an explanation why that wasn't a horse collar on QF at our sideline?

On the replay didn't look like a horse collar. Just grabbed his jersey around the numbers. Non-Call was correct.

If it's the same replay I'm thinking of the replay showed it wasn't a horse collar but the defender just pulled him down by grabbing the upper middle of his jersey.

Just rewatched the game via gimli's great editing, and this was the one big thing that stood out to me.  Our coverage on kicks sucks.  We gave up 31 yards on punt returns, and 84 on kickoff returns, for a total of 115.  Meanwhile, we returned no punts and two kick offs for 39.5 yards (essentially a wash for two touchbacks).  A lot of field position was lost in this aspect.

Can Nadelman actually kick it into/through the endzone?  I think I've only seen him do it a few times...

Think you may have answered your own question.  Can he do it consistently?  I noticed when I rewatched the game that the other kicker had more trouble in one direction that the other as well.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
