Note: Sagarin includes FCS teams in his rankings, hence they go above 128. Edit to add: this conference is terrible... USF isn't making it better... A ton of young guys got to play and now those guys aren't so young anymore. It's crazy because the guys I see as leaders... I actually see who they are.. especially on the defense. Agguie and Byrd have appeared to assume that leadership role on the defense. I think once Taggart names Flowers the QB, the team will begin to rally around him. I see a lot of guys who have played some quality minutes and are adjusted now to the college game. We have a mix of talent and experience along with speed and now strength (I can't over emphasize how weak some of the guys have been the past 5 seasons... I go back to 2010 because we got pushed around a lot that year even though we made a bowl. I'm not so worried about the drops the first few practices... that happens early on. I'd expect that will begin to drop as they get use to doing things in pads... that's an adjustment for offensive guys, because now you have hindering your natural movement. The QBs will be fine... I think we are finally good enough to make a bowl and I'm loving it. Now... I totally understand the skepticism. Oh... My breakout guys this season... Chris Barr and Hill are the guys I think poised to turn heads. Hill is a brute and he can speed rush. I think him and Lee are going to be monsters.
