Classes start today, so it looks as if we will not have Bethel this year. Hate to say I told you so, but...

If he is good to go, I will be very, very happy to eat as much crow as I can cram in my big fat mouth. I'm still skeptical, but we'll see.

Just so we're clear, Chef Giorgio, we don't have him yet ...

It was likely an automatic update on 247. The feed also states that pretty much the rest of the freshman class enrolled today as well:

I'm not convinced the report of his enrollment is accurate.

When setting out to serve crow, cook two birds.

Should have read all the way thru.

Not sure I'm confident he'll join us after all.  So, we play with who we have.  So much for Bethel & Gibbons anchoring the line...at the least the first part of the season.

I don't think they are going to accept all of his classes. Their accreditation sounds fluffy, to put it nicely. This is most likely the hold up, it's probably difficult to discern what they can and can't accept. I hope he kept his syllabi. People need to understand that accreditation is important!

I hope to god no one is saving my syllabi for later use in anything remotely important.

If you are transferring and the course numbers/titles don't line up the student will need to prove that the course taken was comparable. In that case they will ask for a syllabus for the course to compare to their guidelines for the course. This is more common than people think. Especially if he has additional credits over the required amount or remedial credits in his degree (ie intermediate algebra or a student life course). If you're in state things should be easier (and anything in your degree is hard to scrutinize), but not coming from out of state. Schools want money and repeating courses makes them money.
