  1. He had two decent QBs there in Gainsville and one beat us this year......
  2. I'm going to take a different approach here when it comes to what has happened over the years to our program. For those not familiar with APR (Academic Progess Rate), "The Academic Progress Rate (APR) is a term-by-term measure of eligibility and retention for Division I student-athletes that was developed as an early indicator of eventual graduation rates." If you compare the years and to whom was the coach during that year, I don't think that Levitt was being held at the same standard as was Taggart or even Skippy. Yes, we are a young program and had to take a whatever talent we could at times but we all know the best athletes aren't always the most educated. Take a look at these figures, pretty interesting to look at if you ask me. APR by Year APR by Coach
  3. I agree with this ^^ Anything less than 6 wins would be anything but successful for this program. Of course, who doesn't want to beat the golden showers but game means a little less with a loss this Saturday.
  4. Yes, and run the Triple Option. Games will go by much faster this way.
  5. Okay fellas and lovely ladies(if there are any present), I suggest we hire Smazza as HC and run this playbook with Flowers calling signals. Anyone else down with my suggestions? Nevermind, sorry guys the file is way too large. Was attempting to post a copy of the 1980's OU Triple Option with hand written notes. My apologies but if you would like to see it, PM me an email and I'll shoot it too ya.
  6. He must have heard that ref call out UCF too many times this year.
  7. Schiano is a joke. He took that bridge with him when he left town. I would take Ty Willingham over that chump!
  8. No, but I do miss the loyal fans that have given up on the program.
  9. At least CWT isn't smiling on the sidelines down 21+ and kicking field goals in the 4th! The growing pains continue at USF. That's only because Tags never smiles. He stares at the field like he's watching a TV show in a language he doesn't comprehend. And if he was caught smiling, you haters would be whining about "what is he smiling about??" ... You guys are funny. +1 +2 +3 Don't know what the big deal is here. That's pretty much the same face I have watching USF football now days. +1

  11. Florida has the same problem with Driskell... a guy who broke Tebow's high school records... can't QB in college. It's a mental thing for both of them. Tebow had a better team and better coach. Not a valid comparison IMHO.
  12. Does anyone read/comment on any of these?
  13. Ironside was all Slick, not Fla33. Yea, I know who it was. I was making the assumption Fla33 could be the next slick in this thread. Why because I posted a video and threw out the fact that his team isn't like STA teams of the past? My apologies for providing some insight that this kid might not be a terrible recruit as I don't see us picking up a blue chipper anytime soon.
  14. Let's not forget the trip last year to East Lansing. Anything is possible as we blew that game. It's really about the match-ups. At that time last season, Michigan State's offense was struggling mightily and using multiple QBs without much success. MSU originally started Andrew Maxwell and shuffled one or two other QBs into the game (Cook included). It wasn't until Connor Cook really separated himself that MSU began to perform better on offense on a more consistent basis. The defense was always very good. I don't know if you can look at USF/MSU in EL last season to judge the success of USF in Madison. USF is a middle-of-the-road run defense going against the No. 1 rushing attack in UW. On the other side, USF's offensive strength lies in the run game, which squares off against a UW run defense that has allowed just over 2.50 yards/carry this season and no red-zone touchdowns. As I said previously, it is about match-ups. I wasn't attempting to compare the two as I watched that horrific State offense in person. I was just saying that anything is possible and I will agree it's about match ups. White will have to get the ball out quick and I think we can make it a respectable game. Let's face it, no one expects us to win which is always the wild card. Look at how ECU came out this year. Did anyone see that coming?

  16. Can we lock this kid in because he hasn't signed, correct? Had him early then lost him but if he really wants to play early, USF may be his best bet. I like his size and arm strength. 47sports.com/Player/Chase-Litton-15087
  17. Not sure if anyone has or knows much about STA and their past teams. This year's team is not up to the caliber of teams that have been coached by Coach Smith when he was there. Yes, they do play a tough schedule but I wouldn't rule this kid out just based on the little we know or see from him. He doesn't have close to the weapons on offense that O'Korn, Carroll, Dougherty, Becker, and Rudock had. Not to mention their defenses played lights out and punished teams. Trust me as I watch it year after year coming from Manatee HS and following HS football for many years now. I say throw him an offer and see what happens. His offers will pour in and I would hate to see him travel to Orlando.
  18. I agree. We have to work with the bad batch of QBs on our roster. It doesn't help that our front line can't hold a block to save anyone's life. Nonethless, we need to switch things up and get the ball out quicker and into our playmakers hands (if we have any) and see what happens. Yes, our QB play has been terrible but thank god we have a defense that allows us to have a chance at winning and better field position. What are everyone's thoughts about mixing in some read-option plays with flowers here and there as well now that his shirt is burnt?
