  1. there was an article where CWT was saying he wasn't sure whether he would be on the field or in the booth That's not important to Deldabull... that's simply a fact you are giving. Del, he/she, simply just pulls it out of thin air without realizing that the narrative in his/her head is false. Doesn't matter what the Kinnan, the school, the head coach, the AD, and what's been reporte... Del simply says it because if he says it, that makes it true. ^^
  2. I hope that you're wrong. We all know that history tends to repeat itself but I think that CWT will learn to get the plays in much quicker and with an uptempo and less huddles, we should be fine. With that being said, we still need our guys to make plays and not drop passes or miss key blocks.
  3. I think a big help here is that Kinnan knows the limits of the signal caller that will be taking snaps. No matter who it is, he along with the other coaches will only ask that man to make plays they feel he can make. With a spread attack(depending on how we use it), I would feel better letting Flowers run the offense or honestly even Bench. Flowers with his solid build and Bench has shown he's not scared to lower his pads and make a play. I realize that Kinnan is not the head coach or even an OC but this is why I feel he will be listened to and taken seriously by the others coaches when it comes to those crucial third and short plays that killed us time and time again due to second guessing the play call on CWT's part(there you go DELdaBull). It's not about having the best QB but rather one a coach can assist to manage the game and allow them to understand that you play one down at a time and the first downs will come with positive yards. I think that all these offensive coaches will gel quickly and we could see some big improvements in the offense. We have some great talent and that Florida speed and if we can get the OL to understand their blocking assignments, I can see great things from our team. On a side note, I think that the defense will play a big role in our wins. If they can get off the field and give us the field position that we know they can, I feel we should be able to compete with most of those teams on the schedule. Go Bulls!
  4. i thought I read he was going to be in the booth I thought the statement was, "they weren't sure if he would be on the field or in the box on gameday."
  5. Here's an interesting question/thought. So Tags takes back play calling in hopes to save his career or sink his own ship. Does Kinnan sit in the booth and "assist" with play calls or will Kinnan not be anywhere near the booth?
  6. I think Kinnan would carry more weight than a typical consultant. Taggart trusts Kinnan 100 percent and will allow him to make changes where necessary. Where as a guy like Hope may want to change something and Taggart will need to be sold on it. Well said. You don't bring on a "consultant" that has ties with a coach and then not allow them a little hand in how ow what might need to be changed especially when your job is on the line as everyone thinks. I think Tags gets two more years as I don't think we want to be paying what four coaches after he's fired?
  7. I think much of this new offense working really starts more with the lineman being able to grasp the blocking schemes and executing. If they can do this with guys that have some knowledge of the schemes already (like Galati who played under Kinnan), I could see this helping Mack get some good runs and hopefully open the passing game up. We could have been a much better team on film if we hadn't dropped as many passes during crucial downs last year. Nonetheless, last year is gone and I look forward to seeing how well these young men can match-up on the field. Kinnan was always big on winning your match-ups and if that happens, I think we could sneak out a few close ones and go bowling.
  8. Michigan was garbage and down two guys as well if I remember.
  9. 30 cars?!?!?! You might as well rent an RV and save you all some money. That's only $75 to park
  10. Let's not forget that the defense wasn't young an inexperienced as it's been either. We may have put up points back then but we also knew how to stop an offense when it mattered.
  11. Hellz yeah, it's Friday snitches!!!! Oh about the season?
  12. I know I'm a little tardy to this one but didn't the Bucs do that many years ago in the payoffs against the 'Skins when Arriginton was ejected for spitting in Sims' face?
  13. And I'm running the other half. LOL Who's running which half?
  14. Already been discussed... http://thebullspen.com/topic/98898-ga-tech-option-offense/
  15. Would have been quicker three and outs this year if we didn't have so many delays and wasted time outs too.... I don't remember this part. Now, from Skippy's days, yes. Let me clarify, time outs used to prevent a loss of five yards. Better?
  16. Would have been quicker three and outs this year if we didn't have so many delays and wasted time outs too....
  17. Ah, that would explain his interest ... Also was DC at Armwood Shooting too low, moving on. We need Hall of Fame caliber and coaches from Big Programs that are making great money come here.
  18. You should check your facts before posting about Joe's resume. Just sayin The one article I read only talked about him in regards to High school coaching. It didn't mention he coached at Eastern Kentucky back in 1979. So it's only been 35 years since he coached in college. I Really know nothing about the man, but just seems to be shooting low. I read a lot of articles too but don't take them to heart. I guess we should just say that you are not the only one who tends to believe and only listen to what the media shows the public. Congrats to the media one American at a time falls victim to their biased BS.
  19. Kinnan was covering up for his assistant having inappropriate contact with teen age girls. I don't want him around the program. If Kinnan was covering up what happened there, why wasn't he charged with anything? The other administrators were.....oh maybe he is good friends with the lead investigator. Give me a break and grow up. State the facts that you actually know and don't talk about allegations.
  20. Hmmmmm and what do you know, Joe's name comes to the surface. Let's not forget how everyone wa high on CWT coming from the Harbough Tree. Coach Kinnan will be perfect for USF and will increase the recruiting ability as well. Watch the transfer requests start to pile up as well. Yancy at Temple could come back as well as some others.
  21. I mentioned it a while back about Kinnan coming to USF. Don't foget that he was almost the first coach there. He is an offensive genius and if anyone had any idea how valuable he could be to the program, they may have think twice about this one. You're going to get a guy at a great value and leave you with some good money to bring in a much better DC than Bres was. As a head coach, you have to trust the OC and I think that CWT will have that trust in Joe and know that he can manage the game offensively and leave the overall sight of the game to Taggs. I laugh at all the members on here that we excited about CWT coming here and two years in want him fired too! Let's be honest, it's going to be very hard to attract a "hot" upcoming coach to this program having to compete against the three big ones here. Joe and CWT can make the spread work here and we have the kids that can run it. Don't be surprised if you see Coach Weiner from Plant come along as well. Joe didn't take the job last year because he felt Manatee had a great chance at winning another State Title and didn't expect Superintendent Mills to come after him personally.
  22. You should check your facts before posting about Joe's resume. Just sayin
