  1. Dammit man, get over there asap before somebody starts posting Publix crap in this thread!!!!! I'm in Sarasota dude, you go! Also-Publix sucks! All hail Jimmy Johns! Boo. I vote WaWa 2016
  2. I think the first batch of Eveld jerseys went out with the first batch of season tickets.
  3. He had 20 attempts last year. Hard to really say anything about his decision making, accuracy and touch based on such a small number of passes, where most of them came in cold and windy SMU a few days after his brother passed away. It can't get any worse than the QB play of the last three years...and at least Flowers can make things happen with his feet. The biggest concern for me right now is his lack of experience. He is going to make mistakes like any young QB...the questions are whether they will cost of games and will he use these mistakes to improve his game? Make things happen with his feet, chit I'm just happy he can field a snap and doesn't need to take it from the gun to end the game like we have seen before. That might have been our rock bottom.
  4. Hey someone mentioned a honey coated pressed cuban. Please explain this option as I'm foaming at the mouth.
  5. This is the day when I start to get really excited!
  6. Nearly impossible for him to answer, but he loses points with me on the old nature of the game, ups and downs. Nonsense - it was a manmade disaster. Unfortunately, he can't say that. If he "can't" say that, why take points from the man?
  7. Thats' what I meant by "tougher." He did a great job and I still think fans will always want to ask those **** questions.
  8. I read the article this morning. Really have to take everything the media prints, posts, or talks about at face value. Much of this sounds good but I know a few people will question how the reported didn't ask "tougher" questions to Harlan. My take on this is very simple: Harlan, CWT, and the entire institution realize that we need to start winning and we need to start NOW. The past is the past and we need to stand up right now and make a statement that we can compete and put a good product on the field. I mean let's look at the flip side. Can we actually afford to fire a third coach and pay what we owe to the others as well as this new athlete stipend? I don't think that it's sustainable in the long term due to our current financial obligations to former personnel. With that being said, I think CWT gets a couple years to make this team an 8+ win team. Will it happen, only the future will show.....
  9. I hear you about not getting sucked into the hype but you have to agree that in general, I can't help but get excited about football season. I do, however, feel a little better about this season than the previous two. I think that it will be much more exciting watching a faster offense(assuming it works as it should) and seeing the speed and athletes we have just go out and compete. Most of these Florida kids played some type of spread offense coming our of hs and I think they should learn and execute the system just fine. The big question will be can we move the chains and hang up 6's? I hope you're right but as Mama said they have to "show ME" I'm done with the silly gimmicks and hype I agree and I'm ready to see what they have when it come gameday.
  10. So you're agreeing or disagreeing with GOL? More schools are starting football programs then leaving it. They see it as advertising. If football leaves it will more likely be due to the head injury issue, with some evidence that the damage occurs not only from concussions but those harder hits that occurs several times a game. However there is a medication that looks promising. What?!?!?! Your post seems to contradict itself and is very confusing. SO more schools are starting football and "leaving it" but if a college/university allows football to leave it would be due to a head injury????? Can you clarify as I'm not following you? Who has started a program and "left it" just to advertise for their institution?

  12. How happy do you think the Rays are to see Price back in the AL E? Maybe they can pump their attendance up with seeing him a couple more times a year.
  13. I don't think he has any years of eligibility left. Who's your next choice?
  14. This is one of the reasons why I felt it was time to familiarize ourselves with the defense and it's depth chart.
  15. 1) Which QB will be named starter to open the season vs. FAMU? FLOWERS 2) Will this be the same QB that starts the season's final game vs UCF? YES, pending any injuries due to running often 3) How many net offensive yards will the Bulls new offense total vs. FAMU? 400+ 4) Do you expect the Bulls to score a defensive touchdown against FAMU? Nope, I'll go with 2 5) Where are you on the Optimism Meter, for the season? Low, Medium or High? Medium to Colorado High
  16. Will we see an USF defense were guys were flying all over the field and wrapping up making big plays)I hope) or the soft zone where we get nickle and dime'd all the way down? We were young last year and with the experience and the speed we have, can we force teams to go three and out more often?
  17. I hope we run a lot of read option as well, but triple option is a completely different story. didn't say anything about triple option. and they really aren't all that different. QB makes his read and either keeps it or gives it to a RB. triple option incorporates a FB. Triple has many versions with most running the Wishbone approach and mostly taking snap under center. Would never work here with our personnel. I remember watching Devine and Washington play for N FT Myers when they ran the Wing T version. Was very successful when you play teams that have a tough time tackling or lineman that can't move laterally. Excited to see this new spread attack live and at game seed against the Rattlers.
  18. I hope we run a lot of read option as well, but triple option is a completely different story. I agree. If we had the lineman to run a triple, it would work great with our skill payers. The read option and quick passing should work just fine and it's up to those guys on the field to make plays.
  19. That was almost a year ago....... .....and besides im referencing the success had by georgia southern a school that gets no name recruits and their ability to run the system not Georgia Tech who can pull in top athletes. so its a different topic Different school, same system as well know the type of recruits we both can get.
  20. This post IMO is kind irrelevant in the fact that you are mentioning an NFL team with well conditioned pro athletes. Correct me if I'm wrong but they are most likely running this in practice for more or less conditioning drills as what offense in the NFL other than Kelly run Eagles actually put that product on the field during game day? I get where you're headed but I think the staff will do what works for them whether its 50 plays or 250 plays during practice.
  21. What?!?!?! Are you just attempting to increase your post count? Uh no. It was sounding from some posts he's just at USF to design plays, not actually coach. Please explain or was this just your take/twist on what others had to say?
