    I could care less about being ranked. I'd be happy that we'd be 2-0 and only need four more wins to return to a frigging bowl game this year. I would love to see us go 5-3 in conference.

    One last bid by CWT to keep his job after next year. If he goes down, at least he'll go down with something that somewhat resembles a real offense.

    Only problem with expanding the playoffs to 8 teams is that that would add potentially 2 more games to the teams playing for the NC, so you go from maxing at 15 games (win a conference champ game then 2 playoff games) to maxing at 17 games potentially....that's an NFL schedule just about....Not sure what students would think of that.

    I think the Big 12 goes to 14. Cincy, USF, UCF and....Houston? A team from the MWC? Sure USF has had piss poor attendance the past few years, but you can look back to the Leavitt days when we had a legit program/team on the field and the numbers we produced. WVU/USF night games at Ray Jay.... Plus we have a decent TV market. UCF/USF in a combo package. USF in the Big 12 makes us better. More recruits, exposure, etc. Mass potential.

    I agree. Taggart must go. There is no excuse why he should be around after our season wraps up. I have had enough of this garbage product on the field.

    I bet this will be like the UConn game minus the rain. We'll score a couple of early TDs that will make us look like we are in control, give up some big plays to let SMU back in and win by 3 in what appeared closer than it really did.

    I'd hate Schiano still, but I'd still do this move. I'll never forgive him for being a ***** while at Butgers, but I'm tired of watching that garbage of a program we have on the field now. I can swallow my pride while USF has what would be its best coach in its history. Schiano owned Leavitt and Holtz.

    I want a 7-5 season at least. Screw 6-6. With our schedule and the kind of talent that is in our state, we should have no problem at a minimum 7 wins with 5 of those coming from our conference.

    I hope and pray we can get another fluke win like we did last year vs Cincy.......but maybe Tulsa was that game for us this year?

    It's not the losses, it's just the way we look on the field. It's almost exactly the same as last year. To the naked eye, I don't see any improvement.

    I think it's two main problems, coaching and QB play. Aside from that, we should have enough talent to compete in this crap conference. 3-5 is garbage, provided we even beat SMU.

    I wasn't a huge BJD fan. He was pretty good under Leavitt and was ok his first year under Holtz, but he took a step back his final two years. He never learned and kept making the same mistakes. But compared to what we have now, he was a god. I'm tired of hearing about this team rebuilding....it's been the same old story for 3 years and counting. This team hasn't looked like it improved at all, and that's on the coaches.

    I predict we'll lead by 10 at the half. Then we'll lose by at least 17. Just wait and see.

    I feel like Maryland and ECU games were ones that we could have won. Then again last year I felt that the UCF/Houston/Memphis games were ones that we could have won.

    does the team pass the eyeball test? They look almost exactly the same from last year. Maybe better at the RB, but our line is worse it seems. Also our D seems to be a little worse than last year.

    This team has been playing soft ever since the second year of Holtz. I remember the blowout loss we had in Pitt 2011, on national tv....that was our conference opener that year. The team lost six of their next seven and were never the same since.

    Getting owned by Pitt. Getting owned by Rutgers. Losing to UConn in close games. Sometimes beating WVU. At least in the days of Leavitt, we would go undefeated outside of our conference (guaranteed 5 wins) with a bonus of 3 or 4 conference wins and a bowl game vs a MAC or CUSA team. Oh the memories.....
