  1. Even with a win tomorrow, UCF kind of still screwed us. They let Temple come back and have that miracle last second win earlier this year.....that should have been Temple's 2nd loss!! I know.....we didn't take care of business when we could have....just bad luck this year, lost the one conference game we couldn't afford to lose.
  2. So looks like we will avoid getting an 8 win MAC team at least.
  3. Yeah don't see it....more worried about losing CWT next year than this year.
  4. Temple loss still stings....and the defense was holding us back, but this was an improvement no doubt.
  5. It took a few years, but seems to have worked out for West Virginia....
  6. It is nice to see, but nobody is going to give Navy credit for barely beating a now 3-6 ND team who won't even go bowling this year (likely).
  7. Temple is due for a stinker, but Tulane's offense is terrible, maybe on par with UConn's. I think UConn had a better shot at an upset than Tulane will. But I hope I'm wrong.
  8. I don't disagree with your entirely, yes there is a chance that we will never be ranked. But at the end of the year, IF we win out, 11-2, we would have had a win against a top 25 team, and I am assuming that a few teams ahead of us will lose more games, giving them 4 losses or more. That is probably the key for us being ranked. We are what, 29 or so now, depending on the poll?
  9. Our defense suffered ever since the WKU Bowl Game, and IIRC Tom Allen was already gone. He had a HUGE impact on our D, and little did we know that the bowl game lame D was a sign of things to come for this year.
  10. What's funny is that if we win out, no doubt we'll be ranked (I doubt Temple will ever be with that Army loss) and no fricking conference championship. Our margin of error was small and a 7-1 conference record wouldn't have gotten it done.
  11. I'm still bitter about the Temple loss. It still stings. I haven't felt a loss like this since we lost our Big East opener on a Thursday night to Pitt, 2008. That loss stung bad.
  12. Yep. They beat Houston last year, at home. They owe us one.
  13. Our toughest OOC game will be Illinois, and I don't follow them so not sure how their team will look next year. It could be that they have a young team and are using this year as a learning year, could be better next year. We get a weaker Houston team next year (that game looks different now than it did earlier this year) and a cupcake in Tulane. Not sure what kind of team Tulsa will have. Cincy, Temple at home, should be wins. Our toughest conference game may be playing at Uconn, depending on what time of year we play there.
  14. Well, are we sure that Taggart (if he stays) is going to bring in a new DC after this year? He should, given the kind of year our D has had, but I'm not sure it's a given.
  15. Not sure how Illinois will be next year....I don't follow them but maybe they'll be better? I don't know...but that game could be tough if they have a young team learning this season and they are more experienced next year. Also have to see when we are playing Uconn. If it's a late season cold-weather game then it could be tougher. But IMO 10 wins MINIMUM with what we have returning should next be the expectation, barring injuries.
  16. You know what's going to happen, an unexpected P5 school will open up suddenly, and their AD will be looking for that "under the radar/rising coach" type......and that's exactly what we would have. With that said, if the above doesn't happen, I think we will keep Taggart for another year. If we win the AAC though, I think Taggart's chances of getting scooped up increase. It's always about, "what have you done for me lately"....nevermind the below .500 coaching record....
  17. No need to worry folks, the ACC will be calling to us as soon as the super conferences start.
  18. So no expansion then? Looks like the info was leaked ^^^^^
  19. Those of you thinking USF or nobody at all (I'm also in that boat) looks like it's going to happen. http://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/big-12-expansion-losing-momentum-no-grant-of-rights-extension-ranking-candidates/ Looks like Big 12 is a dead man walking. Texas and OU likely gone as early as 2022.
  20. Is this a troll post?? We will kill ECU, uconn and ucf. Lol.
  21. Sorry guys....haven't stopped beating off to this win.,,,..ohhhhhhh yeah....
