    I see what you mean. Regular fans aren’t even going to care about who won the AAC, but they will remember that the said team was destroyed in their bowl game to a big program.

    Passed us? When they were 0-12 nobody thought that.They get lightning in a bottle with a star coach and suddenly pass us? For one year sure, but the thing about our conference is nobody stays ahead for long. So is the life of a stepping stone conference. Also, the last realignment was more of a demotion for us than a promotion for them, as only Cincy, Uconn and us remain from the BIg East. We are basically now CUSA on roids.

    I saw that too. So Frost is gone all month and shows up on the UCF sideline to help coach the bowl game randomly. Wonder if he wears Nebraska gear for the game. By then I think the players would have moved on.

    Hell commentators and casual fans still confuse USF/UCF so what does it matter anyways? We may have credit for that American ‘chip UCF won today.

    That was before this past Black Friday. First time USF/UCF combo was good in the same season and the game had any meaning. TV records were broken and Cincy is still in their black hole.

    Not denying Milton’s talent, but I agree with you. I want to see Milton under a new HC, and there is no way he puts up those same numbers next year in a transition season. Always growing pains.

    Two things broke their way: Frost and Bortles. Their success in the American is traced to those two. We need a break like that. Strong, IMO, is not the answer. Also, we keep losing the games we HAVE to win. Last year it was Temple. This year UCF. Just bad luck and losing the only game we couldn’t afford to.

    I expect UCF to take a step back. Plus they are losing a lot of leaders in that locker room.

    Really, Memphis had a pretty easy schedule too. Navy, Houston all down years. Lost to only real team they played (twice). UCLA finished 6-6. I think if we win our bowl game, and they lose theirs, we finished ranked ahead of them in final AP, for whatever that’s worth.

    I hope UCF gets destroyed without frost. Their fans deserve it. It will be a sign of things to come for them next year. Media won’t give AAC credit even if UCF wins.

    Just curious, why does the this matter though? He’s gone no matter what, why get angry about what UF admin may or may not have said?

    I buy his success as a DC...would love him for that role for us. But as HC? His success is tied to recruiting Teddy Bridgewater. What do you mean, he left the cupboard full at Texas? They just had another bad year! He made our offense and special teams into hot garbage, undisciplined play style (lead FBS in penalties!!) and couldn’t beat a team with a pulse this year.....he couldn’t adjust offensively to the talent we already had, which is a sign of an average to bad coach, IMO. He’s not that good dude. Just my opinion. I feel like we are going down another Skip Holtz timeline. 5-7 next year should do the trick.
