    Just going off of the eyeball test, this team is as bad as last year. We will just have more wins because our schedule is weaker; we are replacing Rutgers and Louisville with ECU (don't think they would beat UL or Rugers) and Tulsa. Also SMU is historically bad....(and we still may not win!) I don't see the improvement. Taggart sucks.

    I think white starts against Houston only because he started against good defenses this year already and has had some "ok" games in a few of them. Our QB situation sucks no matter what though. Still can't believe that this program struggles as much as they do in recruiting a QB and WE ARE IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA

    Holtz>Taggart (and whoa, that is saying a lot) I didn't like Holtz, but he did have a good first season thanks to Leavitt's talent on the squad.

    Never thought I'd say this, but hell yes. I miss the old fashioned Leavitt days. I'll take 7-8 win seasons even with getting our asses kicked in our conference.

    Get rid of CWT. I don't see any improvement from last year. We will double our wins because of a miracle comeback vs Tulsa and SMU is just that bad.

    we finish with a 10 game losing streak, and a 2 win season in what should have really been a 1 win season, Holtz is getting canned. I have no doubt.

    I don't give props to morale victories. Maybe if this was Holtz's first year and this team was overachievers. But they aren't and this is Skip's 3rd year. We have the talent to be leading the Big East right now, instead we lose to MAC teams and find ways to blow games against everyone else. This was supposed to be "the" year for us. Instead, we are going to lose 10 in a row with a team full of seniors. Just pathetic.

    agreed. That final timeout that Skip wasted even after we had a first down (thus stopping the clock anyways) was downright embarassing. Just piss poor coaching.

    BJ is a pretty stupid QB, his IQ on the field is pretty bad and he has horrible accuracy. He only seems worse now because Holtz doesn't utilize him like Leavitt did in his first year, as a scrambler QB who could make plays with his legs instead of trying to be a pocket QB (which he sucks at). Holtz sucks as a coach, and BJD sucks as a QB, but Holtz is minimizing BJ's speed with how he uses him on offense. Just a bad combo, because they both suck.

    This team is losing 10 in a row.....there is no doubt now. The body language, everything that we are seeing on that field equates to what we are witnessing right now. This team should be 1-5 and Holtz is the one who will be taking the responsiblity (hopefully) after the season ends. I'd rather just fire him now though. I've seen enough of him.

    I wanted Skip to do well here, thought he was the answer to get us over the hump. But I don't see it now. Maybe having a quarterback who's fitted more for his system (BJD is not the man for it) the offense may be more successful....but we aren't really losing games because of our offense. Our defense is what is killing us, and THERE IS TALENT ON THAT SIDE OF THE BALL. On paper, at least. Skip just doesn't have what it takes to bring the best out of that unit, and it has been that way for two years and counting.
