  1. I don't think you could build even an erector set stadium for less than $100 mil. Probably would be more. UCF stadium was $60 mil, but that was over a decade ago and seems the work was shoddy. Construction costs are way up now. The design that was proposed has a $200 million price tag. Doable if we were in a P5, but not in the AAC.
  2. Frost is as good as gone. Wonder if someone will buyout Strong. Norvell will probably be in the mix too.
  3. I'm all for any other AAC team going undefeated and causing CFP controversy, but not UCF.
  4. This post is dumb. Tons of big hits, receivers were catching everything thrown at them. Both teams offenses would put up 35+ against all P5 opponents the way the offenses were playing yesterday. AAC has had more than their fair share of success against the P5 in recent years, especially the top half of the conference. There is a gap, but the gap from the AAC to the other G5 conference is much larger.
  5. was the best game the receiving corps has played by far. No drops. Plenty of tough catches to extend drives. McCants was ridiculous.
  6. 2 key drives when we were up 34-28. First drive run Tice into the line on 2nd and 10 for no gain then get holding on the next run killing the drive. Then the following drive try QB run up the middle and dump off pass to set up 3rd and long. All the while they couldn’t cover our receivers downfield or get any pass rush. Yes most of the game was opened up but once we got the lead I think the urgency to score was gone and CCS was trying to win 34-28.
  7. Special teams has to be the worst in the country. Every week a blocked kick. This week 2 missed kicks and a kick return TD allowed. Not going to get it done.
  8. Yeah unless players leave with frost most of their skill players return and they will be tough.
  9. Memphis defense blows. O/U may be 90 for that one.
  10. How many players in NCAA history put up 500 passing yards and 100 rushing in a game? I’m sure it’s a short list.
  11. Blatant defensive holding missed which would have been a first down. Questionable roughness penalty on the body slam that turned a fg attempt into a touchdown. Also missed a block in the back on their TD pass to go up by 8 late. Probably missing some.
  12. 500 yards of passing. Ruined by penalties, special teams mishaps, and coaching conservatively.
  13. If Florida beats FSU neither team will be bowling.
  14. Would be good for Washington State to lose at Washington, Virginia to lose to Virginia Tech and Houston to beat Navy. All are possible if not probable outcomes.
  15. CCS is working on a trick play like possibly a successfully executed punt or field goal
  16. By the time we crack the top 25 Boise will be top 20.
  17. 3 loss P5 teams that got blown out by 4 touchdowns on multiple occasions are above undefeated G5 teams. What a bulshit conference we are in now.
  18. I wouldn’t park a car with USF decals or plates on campus. All it takes is one drunk idiot. They were tame in 2015 as their team was winless and a dumpster fire. No doubt the drunk idiots will be out for this one given the ranking of the teams. Wouldn’t use 2015 as a comparison.
  19. the perceived divide at least as far as Vegas is concerned is based on the non common opponents. We both blew out all common opponents in the east. I don’t know how much you can glean from that besides that we are clearly the top 2 teams in the east. Looking at margin is one thing if there were some games that were close, but when they were all blowouts doesn’t really tell you much other than those opponents really suck.
  20. Nice analysis. Suffice to say when you are talking about the common opponent, neither team was challenged. I know in a few of those the score wasn’t really that close either as there were late scores to make it more respectable (USF vs UConn) (UCF vs UConn, Temple, and ECU). UCF Cincy was also rained out in the 3rd quarter. Definitely should be a good game if both teams play their A game.
  21. Any loss to UCF will be a negative impact. Not only rivalry bragging rights, war trophy, but conference championship and New Years 6 Bowl go up in smoke. QF is gone next year and we were favorites to win the conference this year. Anything less is a big disappointment.
  22. In hindsight that was a big game. The difference this year is the stakes are known before the game.
  23. This is the biggest game because it all boils down to one game in the last conference game of the year. Rutgers in 2007 was big but it was conference game number 2.
