Carson Ragsdale went the final 3 innings also not giving up a hit and striking out another 7 batters. 9 Innings, no hits allowed, and 22 strikeouts...not a bad night from those two. Offense did plenty and the Bulls won big. This is the first no hitter for the Bulls since 1992 I believe and the 3rd in program history. Need to keep racking up wins with Army in town. Conference schedule starts next weekend.

This team is not as good as last year but they are still very good. Certainly in the top 4 range in the conference.

Don't know if pitching depth is as good as last year. Maybe someone will step up.

Hitting has left men on bases a few times but again, not the case over the past few games.

Competition is about the same. When you lose Merrell, Luke Borders, Phoenix Sanders, Joe Cavallero, and Ryan Valdes we aren't as good. Plus we lost a very good midweek starter in DJ Roberts. We're good, just not as good. But thats OK, this whole season is still alot to play for. It really starts next weekend.

I know we are missing Merrell’s glove but this line up hasn’t given any reason to believe the bats haven’t been replaced. Friday and Saturday starters look good, relief has been solid. No reason to believe this team can’t be successful in conference play, it’s not like we are the only team playing lower competition right now. No, but they could be better than last year, its still to early to tell. We really need to find a Sunday Starter though.

Shane's rise to dominant (if his beginning of the year holds true) could be a difference maker. Having a shut down #1 and a solid #2 could be enough to kick us through. But I definitely agree, a a third starter is imperative. Though when tournament time comes and I was the coach, it would be unorthodox, but starting Strzelecki in game one and Shane the next night might be a crazy enough idea to work, assuming we're a #2 or #3 seed. Imagine us a throwing Pete in game one and we win and then we go against the #1 seed with Shane against their second starter. If a true third starter doesn't emerge, I'd be seriously thinking about this strategy.
