Miss State wins which does not help the Bulls

Looks like Iowa State will win and we will be ranked over Memphis

Still think AAC should have shipped Memphis to Birmingham and USF to Liberty. Losing in your home stadium for the 1st time this season with it being the bowl game has to suck. Maybe it was bad Karma coming Memphis way.

1000 percent agree. We got hosed on our bowl selection.

One more meaningful game relative to USF left:

We want #14 Notre Dame to beat #17 LSU: Monday at 1:00. However, I will be watching Auburn vs ucf.

So does the bowl loss for Memphis count as a home loss? I still think we would have beaten them this year, had we played. They lost to the only real defense they played against this year. Their QB looked normal. Our D would have had success.

Would playing and beating them have gotten us a better bowl opponent? Having them on the schedule could’ve helped our sos

The Liberty Bowl people are probably ecstatic the way it turned out, though. Looked like a ton of ISU fans to fill hotel rooms and the locals made the game a sellout, which I'm sure is a rarity in these lower tier bowls.

Pretty sure the only thing that would have gotten us a better bowl opponent was beating the Kanigits.

The big difference now, of course, is that we are not in a "money" conference.  As part of the AAC, we are in competition with others in the conference that would get an advantage to rejoin one.
