St John's vs (#24) Seton Hall. BE semifinal underway. I want SJU to win. It helps USF.

We played a lot of teams who are going dancing. Many other opponents are going to the NIT. Our SOS is therefore quite respectable, #56 despite being in an relatively weak RPI conference. Whether we win or lose the UConn game our SOS will get even better.

Here the current RPI with the SOS rank and AP Rank:

Some comparisons:

Team RPI SOS AP

NW    40    52   22
GW    11    53   19
OgnSt 16   54  10
USF    25    56  26
RU      42    59  27

Well, Villanova is playing DePaul in the other semi-final and it's currently  14-17.  I'm rooting for them to beat them and SHU in the final. It would help us.

Our SOS, after losing to UConn, went from #56 to #45! LOL

Apparently, the increased difficulty in SOS offset the loss and our RPI remains the same at #25.

Awesome! Hope that translates into a solid #6 seed in a good region.

Did UCONN's go up as well?

I'm not sure. Their SOS is #30. They had a somewhat tougher OOC schedule

Too bad, Villanova lost by 3 to DePaul. USF RPI slips to #26.

As long as the Lady Bulls are not a 5 seed. Don't know if the 5-12 matchup is trouble in the Lady Dance but would prefer not to find out.
