So this ended well..... I get it's a business but good lord... you're going to drop an entire staff the month before Christmas? That's cold....

That is unfettered capitalism for you.

I hope these guys were told well in advance. Justin just had a kid. Pretty sure mark just moved to a new place. Very tough time to hear about this

That never happens.  Most likely they came into work and were told to pack their stuff and leave.  That is how it happens in almost every business that lays people off.  They never tell them in advance.

Rumor has it Bubba the Love Sponge could be involved with the new station in January.

:puke:

Not sure why people waste their time on Bubba. It is the same old crap everytime.

The areas outside of the civilized parts of Tampa/St Pete/Clearwater are redneck central.  Those Confederate flag waving goobers love Bubba.  If you see a Bubba Army sticker on a car/truck, look at the person driving the vehicle.  Odds are the person is not a college graduate or even a high school or middle school graduate.

the tunein radio app carries USF sports. Right now as I am typing this, they are replaying the USF vs Houston game from this season. they have the coaches shows on too.

Thanks for the heads up. Replaying Jackson State hoops game now.

USF has an FM radio station of its own and a TV station too, WUSF.  Maybe, change both of them over to a sports format and broadcast Bulls sports on them?

Always wondered why we don't. Probably has something to do with getting more money by sending the feeds elsewhere.

The crazy thing is the lack of announcement.

Just cut the programming and act like it is okay.

I listened to that station more often than I listened to 620.

That is the nature of radio. My favorite Alt Rock radio station one day was a Mexican music station the next, without warning.

I've never seen one, but my all-time favorite radio station would be the one that did that every couple of hours - switch to some totally different format, that is

1010 signal is awful where I live in Pinellas. 98.7 coverage had me spoiled. I hope we can get a better signal soon.
