How do you figure that the 'announced' brings in money? If x-number of those tickets include comps, is that not an expenditure without an associated entry in the revenue column?

USF - as has been discussed quite often - always manages to release the 'tickets distributed' number vice the actual scanned-tickets-at-the-turnstile number.

Just think...if we had our OCS, we wouldn't always have to contend with those subversive, annoying facts that find their way into the discussion.  :FIREdevil:

Announced often is about money already in bank (season tickets, corporate tickets, etc)

Actual attendance is about atmosphere and spirit

Then should we use the term "announced crowd" or should we stick to strictly "gross number of tickets distributed"?

Revenue from ticket sales jumped 67% from 2007 to 2008 and can almost exclusively be credited to the success the football team had on the field. Fortunately ticket revenue has only fallen 13% (as of 2013) from their peak in 2008 and have not returned to their pre-2008 levels - yet.

We are still recovering from the Ticket crash... i wonder when the next stock market crash will happen.
