Meh.. I'm a basketball guy, the season is just starting!

We are switching to basketball, so same here.

I can already tell it'll be a night and day difference than the football season. Big fan of Antigua

Me too, but I hope you're not setting yourself up for a crash when we lose.

As long as they boys play with heart - this season - I'm happy. That's all I was really hoping for from football, and was disappointed. So I'm not getting my hopes up for hoops either.

I'd like to think we'll bring our best on Friday, but I'm nervous we may not. Really my satisfaction with the second year hinges on how we do vs UCF. If we don't show for it, my offseason thoughts about 2015 are going to be grim.

I haven't seen anything to indicate bringing best, but I guess it is a rivalry game. UF beat UGA.
There was nothing visible going into last year's game in Orlando either, but we played well.
Defense created turnovers in that game. Don't seem to see that anymore

Yep.  I told him about it 10 minutes before the Maryland game.  I used a spreadsheet and a protractor.

He liked the idea, and told Bres. to get his team to go out and cause turnovers.  We got about 6 that day, and we still lost.  I think they have abandoned that as part of the game plan.  They have gone to a "bend then break" defensive scheme.  The object of the scheme is to eventually give up points, but to stay on the field for a long time and make them work for it.

Oh yeah, I meant night and day difference in terms of my enjoyment when watching! My expectations are not too crazy, I am hopeful of NIT but not expecting it.

In that case, I 99.9% agree with you!

WE ALLOWED the Orlando school to reload and regroup

Orlando got better by not getting pounded by usf..that helped their recruiting

This is grossly inaccurate let's be honest. UCF's rise had zero to do with USF and would have not changed. USF'S decent was inevitable in the ebb and flow of football...it just goes that way unless you are Alabama Edited by jdbash

After tonight's game I think I'll bump my hope up to a big dance berth as well.

After watching the descent of the mighty Gators to a laughingstock in the SEC, I tend to agree it can happen to just about any program.
