  1. you do realize a big part of why people thinks this conference is a tradegy is because we are a part of it,right? BTW I don't think we are positioned any better than SMU Houston Cincy UCF ECU etc. All of them have had far more success at this level than we ever have had. Not sure why so many of our fans think we are some blue blood that should look down on our conference competition. is it because we beat a 7-6 FSU team or 4 loss Auburm team? We are not college football royalty. Some of our fans need to wake up and realize this. Wow. Hats off to you sir. This is one of the biggest misconceptions by the USF fanbase. You are spot on that football is cyclical and many programs that haven't had big success in years of late have done big things in their past. Case in point is Memphis. I am not sure what causes your fans to be this way. Perhaps it was relative success with such a young program. I can tell you UCF fans don't see things this way and our coaches sure dont. Never underestimate your opponent. USFs successes are nothing to scoff at, but some of you guys are delusional. #2 is impressive , but wasn't it an early midseason ranking? Beating FSU is impressive, but wasn't it at a relative low? UCF lost to Miami by 1 as a mid major..close game...would have been a big deal if we would have won then, but don't think we would be holding onto that today. What was USF's overall record against fsu and miami? Pretty sure you beat them at their worst. Hey, you still beat them..kudos...but neither USF nor UCF should be looking g down on any program. You guys were really fortunate to start a football program and walk into the Big East. Unfortunately there is no such thing as the BCS anymore. Imagine being a d3 football program, working your way to d1 over 25 years, getting passed over by a school a few years old 90 miles away, finally making a BCS conference, having that stripped away and to top it off p5/g5 being a worse division than bcs/ midmajor. I think you have an entitled fanbase, but some of you get it. Hopefully we both get picked up by big12 somehow someway. Only way will be to go through tv nnetworks. Maybe **** Nunis can make some calls to ESPN. He is on our board..lol. Yea, it was because of the quick jump to the Big East and the #2 ranking that has a lot of our fans being delusional. It's time to come back down to Earth, but still being optimistic about the future. I can't see USF being bad past next year. Beyond that, both our programs can be that program in the access bowl. We have to build rivalry and tradition and both schools are bringing in the right opposition. We need our stadiums packed and ridiculous tv ratings for fox/espn to push for us. I am hoping we get there in 5 years

You are spot on that football is cyclical and many programs that haven't had big success in years of late have done big things in their past. Other programs are now finding success and being the best of the rest could help these progams... Case in point is Memphis. I am not sure what causes your fans to be this way. Hey, you still beat them..kudos..more than we have done....but neither USF nor UCF should be looking down on any program. You guys were really fortunate to start a football program and walk into the Big East. Unfortunately there is no such thing as the BCS anymore. I think you have an entitled fanbase, but some of you get it. Stop whining. And another thing...pulling your tickets is weak. Try 0-17 and we were still there pretty strong..support your football program until it corrects itself rather than act like a spoiled brat. Hopefully we both get picked up by big12 somehow someway. Only way will be to go through tv nnetworks. Maybe **** Nunis can make some calls to ESPN. He is on our board..lol.
  3. No you didnt. You beat a few Florida teams at their very worst, auburn and wvu...what was the best you did in the vaunted big east?
  4. If slow and dumb wins championship(s) (a foreign concept around here) then I'm all for it. Slow dumb teams require luck and circumstance to get things like that vs on field skill. Or of course playing in a dead conference helps to. Has UCF had luck? Yes. Has UCF had circumstance? Yes. So do most teams that have won conference titles. The skill that UCF has along with luck and circumstance has resulted in conference titles. Again, USF has won never won a conference title. Has never finished a season ranked. Never went to a BCS bowl. Etc. So while your argument about a multiple time conference champion being lucky is somewhat true, it's not the argument I'd make if my school had a trophy case that looked like this: Hey, you are proud of your accomplishments, but you have no frame of reference as you were not competing at the highest level. You fell lucky last year in that you played in a conference with a BCS berth and no BCS teams in it. You even beat a decent team in Baylor. Great. Still, it's just not the same thing and you will never understand why as you are lost in the relativism of your mediocrity. Deal with it. We suck, you are mediocre, the scoreboards don't lie. We are at the bottom of a black hole, you are not too much ahead. In the past we were light years ahead. The pendulum will swing again, perhaps draw you back deeper near us where you belong. So goes the extremely obvious and convenient reasoning that helps you rationalize your black hole. We finished last season ranked #10 while recruiting as a CUSA tteam. We would have neat pitt, cuse, WVU last year so give me a break. You would think the Big East was the SEC the way you talk..another convenient argument. You had the benefit of BCS recruiting and low academic/character standards and you couldn't win your conference in 10 years. It is obvious that you are bitter. UCF has accomplished plenty no matter how much you spin in your black hole...don't try to drag us into your convenient argument.
  5. Lmao at this guy. ECU isn't exactly easy at home and we let that game slip away and still found a way to win. We lost 2 juniors at two of the most important positions on the field to the nfl and a few seniors to nfl. After all that we still reloaded and win a share which is easier said than done. Next year we lose a few key pieces of defense including 2 very good safeties and 1 very good linebacker but we recruited deep at both those positions and Holman will get accuracy, touch and mechanics work in the offseason. We will be on track to threepeat...I guess it is easy for us;) LOL at you for having nothing better to do than just come to our boards and gloat. And if you think that UCF did not have a cupcake schedule this year then you are absolutely delusional. Let's take a look at your wins shall we? Bethune Cookman - Bravo BYU - Cograts, you beat a team that was utterly crippled one weak earlier by one touchdown Houston - One of TWO of the decent AAC teams you faced, and it took you a last second miracle of a bad case of butterfingers to win Tulsa - bravo Temple - bravo Tulane - bravo SMU - barely even counts USF - bravo ECU - the only other decent AAC team you played and once again, you didn't win. They lost. UConn - oh, wait.... Must've been nice to been scheduled only the bottom feeders and a couple mediocre teams on a mediocre conference. But hey, whatever makes you and your classy knights feel better Oh poor baby..a small smart comment about three-peat..give me a break. I am not over here talking down your program and have many usf grad friends. I have cracked a few jokes about taggart..that's it. You think what you will about recruiting. .frankly you don't know what you are talking about. I watch tape and look at offers. You also have to consider how a player fits in you specific system and how you are addressing needs. Is your class uneven, etc. What good is your nfl receiver when you can't throw it to him? I am not going to get in a long winded debate about an overall class rating. We had 18-19 spots and we got some really outstanding players. I have been following this a long time. Yes, I watched the high school tape of your very own JPP, then rated a 2 star. You watch the tape, you watch who is coming hard at them , if they aren't being pursued why not. I know who your top recruits are, fsu, miami, fla. Don't try to compare recruiting from when ucf was in the mac and cusa. Those days are long gone. And just a note...we recruit georgia, alabama, florida, texas, penn, ny , nj, la. Those are our states. South Georgia, alabama and Louisiana play some dang good football. We are very, very happy with 2014 class including Tyler harris. I wasn't comparing recruiting at all......you went off on some random tangent with what I think was meant for another poster The point I am making is that the wins UCF had this season were not very impressive. And yet the fan base seems to still think they are some national powerhouse, and acts accordingly. The only two wins against decent teams came by the very skin of your teeth. I tried to congratulate some of them on FB and was pretty much spat in the face, so forgive me for clumping you all together as classless fans when that's the majority of what I've seen. Now don't get me wrong, if you guys get put up against a decent P5 and win (especially handily) I'll be the first to congratulate and say I was wrong. Anyway, After the conference split is done we'll both have to worry about Cincy (or neither of us on the off chance these realignment rumors are true) and well both get to play Temple so Im interested to see how that goes Nobodies chastising you for making a few jokes about Taggart, there's very few if any people on here who haven't. As far as "not talking down" the program I've only been on the board for a short time yet from what I've seen that's a little hard to believe. However, I have seen you post some reasonable things in the past and even posted in your favor before so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. Good post. I dont think UCF fans think UCF is a powerhouse, but back to back conference champs and losing only 1 game in conference in two years is still impressive. We compete in the conference we are in and that is the goal every season. I am sure some ucf fans are just trying to rub it in. For the record, USF fans were far, far, far worse to our program in the years we played in CUSA. I can't tell you how many of your fans belittled our program all year in every way imaginable..constantly. Revenge is a dish best served cold and UCF fans are being pretty easy on USF fans all considered.
  6. Yes it has. I can tell you lasts years class was our best class ever..tape, offers, etc...i follow 247..beleive we had 3 or 4 four stars. GOL has very good criteria for recruiting and has a very interesting point based system. You are talking about the one of the only , if not the only D1 coach to offer JPP and Kevin Smith out of college...GOL knows how to recruit in his system and fill needs. This year's class will finish strong. We have 2 very good recruits at the most important position 2 years in a row. ESPN 150 qb last year and one that just got bumped to #25 pro style and looks very promising. Rivals didn't think UCF did, has UCF recruiting one 4 star in the past 3 years and that is a verbal for this year. I see no espn 150 qb recruited last year. https://rivals.yahoo.com/footballrecruiting/football/recruiting/commitments/2013/ucf-210 http://espn.go.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/school/_/id/2116/class/2013 Wrong year slick..you linked 2013

I suscribe to 247 you colossal tool...your class is pathetic...anything else you want to spin you crazy son of a *****? Do you know the QB he is talking about? Was he talking Quinton Flowers? I think he was looking at USF's class. Quinton flowers was never a qb prospect so why would I say that? Anyone who follows recruiting knew that. He was an athlete that never had a chance at qb and never will. Some of your less bright posters probably thought you had a qb prospect, but again look at his offers as a qb...just usf. Everyone wanted him as an athlete.

  10. Just stop the bs, STK ... Your earlier allusion to the Trophygate that went on here gave you away as someone who goes way back, coupled with the FSU connection and the vitriol for USF, it's definitely you. I'm surprised you didn't come back after the Fiesta Bowl win ... and if there really was such a thing as karma, football programs who kill players wouldn't have the success they do. It's sad all USF fans can do is celebrate the death of a UCF football player. When The USF athletic staff witnessed the death of Mr. Dorsey in the USF weight room I did not see any UCF fans celebrating it. I do feel sorry for you guys, can't imagine getting off on a young mans death like you people do. That's not celebrating a death. You picked the name Karma ... which was stupid to begin with considering what it really means. I just showed you that if there really was such a thing, it would have affected your PROGRAM because of Plancher ... and if there's any REAL karma in this whole situation, it revolves around USF and the railroading of CJL. Pay no attention to the APR scores under leavitt, the complete lack of discipline under Leavitt or the fact he never won anything. Not true..he won the Fulmer cup..true story. Look it up.
  11. I was in the men's room and told a UCF fan that they should hold all their home games here at Ray Jay. Disgusting. Many of us are die hards but I can understand not wanting to watch that crap. One more year of this and Harlan will have to convince the men's and women's soccer coaches to share Corbett Stadium. I was told through texts (I'm in Phoenix having an enjoyable T-giving with family instead of staying in Tampa to watch USF be shutout on their home field) that Harlan is completely behind Taggart for 2015. I for one can tell you that I will not invest another nickel for Taggart Ball.........I'm done and Harlan will have to answer to quite a few Iron Bulls when Taggart doesn't last half of the 2015 season. So those Iron Bulls are quitting like you are? Maybe........Money talks and BS walks. I'll let my donor and ticket sales do the talking and I've been up to a 24 seat season ticket holder (currently 8) since 1997. And one coach, with 2 bad years, has you jumping ship like a rat .... THAT is BS walking. That seems to be the ONLY THING that AD's understand............loss of revenue. My HATE runs very deep for the lows that Taggart Ball has taken us. I'll invest in the Engineering College and USF football can suck an egg if Taggart is still around. If you want to continue to invest in Taggart's $1.15M dollar salary, please feel free to do so. I have choices and will exercise those as I see fit. Capiche!! I laugh at boosters like you. I'm a diamond Knight at UCF and I have been a season ticket holder and booster for 24 years. You're an embarrassment to your school. Lol @ you being in your 40s and trying to be an interwebs troll. Here are better uses for your time as a grown man: 1. Sleep with your wife. 2. Do something with your children. 3. Work on your house. These are grown up things. My wife is sleeping Took my kids to the UF/FSU game today I pay people to work n my house Taggart might need work after next year. Heard he is great at demolition but not so good at building. Do you pay well? Just don't sign a multi year contract.

  13. Good luck next season. I think some of your smack is weak sauce. USF will be better next season IMO..looking forward to it. Look forward to following recruiting. Stop being so bitter bulls. As one said these things go in cycles. No need to get into GPA, lawsuit, stadium, Wikipedia smack.
  14. Oh please, what it took was actually building a program and earning your way up. USF is a plastic facade program with a politician for a president and a spin master for a head coach. And UCF's been building theirs since 1979. USF since 1997. Let's go back, 18 years and see what UCF had built by then. 1996 and UCF was an independent with a 5-6 record and had just moved up from 1aa. Not too impressive. Because at this same stage in development, USF: USF was ranked for the first time exactly 10 years and 10 days after its inaugural game against Kentucky Wesleyan in 1997.[15]USF rose at an unprecedented pace, earning an AP ranking 104 polls after becoming a full-time, bowl eligible FBS member in 2001. Boise State had the previous record, getting ranked after 115 AP polls during their seventh season.[15]USF became the fastest team in the modern era of college football to go from upstart NCAA FBS school to a top-10 ranking on Sunday, Sept. 30. There were 106 AP polls and 112 Coaches Polls since USF became a full-time FBS member in 2001.[15]The same can be said about the top-5 ranking, which took USF 107 weeks to achieve.[15]UCF's claim to fame at the same point in time? The first football program to play in four different NCAA divisions (III, II, I-AA and I-A).[1] Their only real claim to fame was Daunte Culpepper until then. You want to compare development, then how about apples to apples? Oh's No's..wikismack..midseason ranking stat

How are you going to compare a program that had no funding and that was actually only on equal footing for a few years and was actually SURPASSED in funding and conference by yours. This is splitting hairs just do you can feel better. If you want to play that game then let's use university establishment date.We are the youngest university to ever win the BCS..see what I did there? What you are doing is just as much apples and oranges. You guys sound worse than we did 5 years ago...attendance smack next?....GPA?
