There is 0 chance that the Oregon head coach makes the same amount as Taggart. Might say that in that site but as 84 mentioned he's gotta make up for it somewhere else.

The Oregon coach is relatively new at his job.  He was promoted from Offensive Coordinator when Chip Kelly left.  He had no prior head coaching experience.  Even at Oregon that would not earn him a high salary.

He doesn't get paid the same.

While he is ranked as lower in pay for the PAC12 conference, he still makes more than Taggart

He gets $2 million base guarantee pay.

The data in the OP link seems way off.

The following link appears to be far more accurate, and agrees with the salary I posted earlier for Rich Rod and Taggart with separate sources

(Helfrich is ranked #51.  Taggart is #68)

The NCAA should cap HC salaries. It would go a long way toward fostering a more competitive environment.

Who cares if you cap the salaries. The Bama boosters paid off Saban's $3million mortgage with one check

Don't you get it? If they cap the salaries at say, $1.5 million, then you don't have the poaching and most everyone can offer the same. Saban and his like aren't shopping services to the highest bidder. That would mean everyone has a shot at a great coach.

And by salary, that includes all compensation. So no, his mortgage wouldn't be paid off.

Heck, USF might be at 5 wins if we moved to the Sun Belt, a level CWT can sorta, kinda compete at.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
