I never saw him take plays off. He wasn't in the best of shape physically in the one year he played for us, and he also seemed to be too anxious to get into plays. But he always played with energy and passion, which is more than we can say for many of our players last year. He...ALWAYS...played...with..energy.......and...PaSsIoN.......?!?.... hey, Lynch owns the record for most sacks in the 4th quarter, when down by 20+. So, let's give him THAT. No one cleaned up better in garbage time v the other team's scrubs. No. One.

It's not the same for me as watching Jacquian Williams, JPP, Kayvon Webster, Nate Allen, etc. though. I don't view a significant difference between JPP and Lynch. Each were 1 year transfers. I guess JPP produced more as a Bull. Otherwise... You guess? He did out produce Lynch while he was here. Not to mention was apart of a team that beat FSU @ FSU, not one that went 2-10. Obviously Aaron Lynch can't control how good the entire team is but.. I think JPP had .5 more sacks than Lynch. They both had 1 TD. Lynch's actually won us the UConn game so he was responsible for 50% of our wins while he played here. He also spent far more time on campus. People just associate him with our 2-10 year. That's kinda what bugged me. We paid for 2 years of school, to get 2-3 good games out of him. He was a stud at ND and is doing well at SF. He just seemed to coast at USF, saving himself for the next level. I may be skewed by seeing him immediately after practice at Vero, hanging with his girl, while the rest of the players walked by & greeted the fans. That kinda soured me. Most of us had such high expectations, but he really under delivered, for whatever reason. All that said, I'm good with him succeeding in the NFL. He really was a factor in that UConn win last season.

He really was a factor in that UConn win last season. I was there, and don't recall him doing much, other than the scoop & score...on a fumble caused by Giddens. UConn's QB had a fair amount of time and open WRs...but he started out kinda hot, then couldn't hit anything. When you win 2 games, it's hard to find heros. I think Lynch brought energy and clearly was one of the best defenders. I just think we all expected him to be somewhere between ND & SF...and he was NOT.
