I believe he was an assistant coach at Notre Dame when USF beat them up there in South Bend. Maybe he is just thinking about that game.

He did try pretty hard to find something nice to say, no matter how insincere it was...

 

lol I agree, I think he must have reviewed a team briefing from 2007 or so to help him stay serious.
